What the hell is going on around HERE????

So, last Saturday (6 days ago) My mom came to my house and we all (mom,sue,Jadyn and I) went to Shea's to see STOMP. They were very entertaining!! So, we come home and I take my mom over to the apartment across the hall to see their TOTALLY adorable boxer puppies. (Tiger and Lilly, how cute is that?) I hear all of this ruckus and I turn around to see a crew of police and such walking up the stairs to the second floor. At this time Pat comes out of her apartment and I tell her to run upstairs to see what happened. So she goes upstairs and comes back down...... Our "manager" Marcy had passed away. Her son came to check on her after her not responding to phone calls. Marcy was a great lady! She would do anything from anybody. She apparently (they think) had a sudden heart attack! She was 73..... not that that is young but she didn't really seem old to me either :-(

Sunday morning I get a knock on my door. It's Pat. She wants to know if I can go get her a paper. Marcy usually grabbed it for her on Sunday mornings. I would have LOVED to but we were on our way out the door to meet our new niece (Anna Carol, boy is she beautiful!) So, on our way out the door I stopped and knocked on Pat's door to see if she wanted me to get her a paper on my way home. There was no answer. Oh well, she probably walked. Monday comes and goes..... Tuesday I went and knocked on Pat's door to tell her I can get her her papers on Sundays when I go out in the morning. No answer.....hmmmmmm. So today I am walking by her door and notice her door is cracked. Yayyyyy finally she is home. I knock on the door.... A cop answers. I asked if Pat was home. He says "Who are you?" I said " A friend of Pat's". He says "Do you live in the building?". Uhhhhhhh what is this 101 questions?....lol "Yes, I live just down the hall." He then says "I'm sorry, Pat passed away".......

WHAT???? You have got to be kidding me. This is crazy. Marcy just passed 6 days ago...........

Lastnight we are at Aunt Lisa's house and she told us Don (her boyfriend) was coming over. Jadyn just LOVES Don. Probably because he acts about 2 himself...heehee. He is a real goofy character and Jadyn loves loves loves it. So Here is the conversation:

Lisa: "Don is coming over in a little bit."
Jadyn: "My Don?"
Moma: Is Don you bpyfriend Jadyn?"
Jadyn:" Don's my boyfriend."
Mommy: Well who is Aunt Lisa's boyfriend then?"
Jadyn: "Moma".
Mommy: If You have a boyfriend and Moma and Aunt Lisa are boyfriends, WHO is Mommy's boyfriend?
Jadyn: "MICKEY MOUSE."

Blah Blah Blah

Nothing really all that new and exciting going on here since Christmas. Same Ol Sh** different Day. Jadyn of course is changing every day. We were at Aunt Lisa's house last night and I made a statement like " I just can't believe how little girl Jadyn is looking now." Of course, Aunt Gert had to stay "Well, it's better than looking like a little boy right?" Well if you are gonna put it that way.......... LOL
Jadyn is turning in to a little mouthy booger butt.....lol It is of course still very funny at this age. When my two year old looks at me and says "BEAT YOUR BUTT MOMMY." How Can I not laugh?......... Her other favorite saying are:

She says these about 300 times a day.....lol

Lastnight Jadyn ran to me and asked me to use the Potty. She wanted to use the "Mommy" potty. So, I went and put her on. She didn't pee or anything but she thought it was fun! Now today I can't get the little turkey to sit on the potty again. PLEASE tell me I won't be chaging poopy diapers on a THREE year old this summer. She better learn how to change herself.

Always busy busy busy

Of course we are busy all of the time. We went to my mom's house to make cookies the week before Christmas. Just Jadyn and me. Sue stayed home to watch the dogs and finish her last minute Christmas stuff. She is always behind at Christmas time.......lol. We made a ton of cookies. We still have a TON left...... My piggy brother and Dad have about cleaned my mom out of her cookies. We made :

Christmas Eve we went driving around to look at Christmas Lights. This is a tradition my mom started with us. Well, more like with me I think. My brother didnt participate..... We didn't go on Christmas Eve necessarily when I was a kid but it was around Christmas time. "Our" tradition is.... we go to Tim Horton's and get a Hot Cocoa while we drive around and look at lights. We usually go in our jammies too. This year we didn't put on out jammies first. So we came home and put on our matching family jammies and lounged for a little bit.

Christmas morning came and Jadey's little eyes opened around 8:30. I brought her to the living room and I thought her eyes might pop out of her head. She looked at me and whispered "Santa Claus come?". It was sooooooo cute. Of course, Santa left some things unwrapped so she got in to them right away. We then waited for Mama and Papa to come to open the rest. They got here at about 9 o'clock. So, it wasn't much of a wait. Jadyn didn't care anyway........ She gets tired of opening presents.....lol

Tonight we are going over to Aunt Lisa's for a New Years get together. Sue and I made some Buffalo wing dip to dip Tostito's in. Yummy!! Tomorrow we are driving to PA to have Christmas with my dad's side of the family. No wonder I can't wait until the Holidays are over.....lol

HO HO HO and Christmas Tree's

We got up Saturday morning and took Little Miss to go see the Jolly Ol' Fella! She was so excited when I told her where we were going. She hasn't "got it" yet that Santa leaves presents under the tree but she just LOVES him anyway. We went to Kelly's Country Store. He is the best looking Santa around. He looks so "real". Jadyn couldn't stand it. Every time the line moved even a little she would say "Mommy, Jadyn's turn?" . As we turned the bend in the line she could see Santa. She was trying to go through the ropes to go see him.... "JADYN'S TURN, JADYN"S TURN. However. it was not Jadyn's turn for another 45 minutes or so. She was so good in line. She played peek-a-boo with a kid about a year older than her. He just sat on his dad's lap and growled and gave Jadyn dirty looks....lmao. Jadyn didn't care.... she still played and laughed at him....lol She is such a personable little thing.

The long and dreaded wait:

Once we FINALLY got to Santa Jadyn went running up to him and lifted her arms up waiting for him to pick her up. It was so darn cute!!

Talking to Santa:On Sunday we went and got our tree. It really wasn't anything eventful. We just went to Menne' Nursery and picked one out. Jadun was sleeping so I carried her around while we found a tree. She was pretty excited to see a tree on top of the car when I got her out though....lol

Christmas Card and Gingerbread houses

Well, I finally had a chance to make our Christmas Card. Of course I look like a beached whale but the rest of my family is pretty damn cute :-) This is about the best I could come up with without it looking like I swallowed my family.

Yesterday I bought some kits to make some gingerbread houses. We got them put together lastnight and we are decorating them tonight. I cannot wait to see what the little Monkey comes up with. She is so artsy :-) I will add those pictures later :-) ______________________________________________________________

Here are our houses. We had so much fun. Every time Jadyn put a new piece of candy on her house she would yell " Wook Mommy, Wook Moma". She was so proud of herself. And Honestly, I think hers is MUCH MUCH more beautiful them Mine or Moma's. I would let her paint and decorate my house any day :-)
