Child Leashes/restraints

Why am I talking about Child Leashes? Well because this is my blog and I want to. I LOVE child leashes. I NEVER have had to use one on Sister because she is actually very very very well behaved in crowds. She is good about staying with us, holding our hands or sitting in a stroller. She actually would rather ride in her stroller than anything. I think child leashes are EXCELLENT especially for in crowds. It also gives your child some freedom and exercise. However, yesterday I saw a woman walking her child with a leash on which isn't bad BUT I was irritated. It wasn't a busy area at all and the kid was about THREE! Your child will never learn to behave if you put the leash on them every time you go outside. She has to learn discipline at some point. She is not learning a damn thing being leashed in a non busy area!!! Now that I call pure laziness.

It's possible her child was like Logan though. He will quite happily walk along beside us and then suddenly, without warning bolt INTO TRAFFIC! He's done things like this often enough that he is either in the stroller or on the leash when we are out, he's just too unpredictable even at 3 years old.

We have a leash, but Joshua won't walk on it. He freezes, rolls to the ground and throws a tantrum. The leash is in the garage and not worth the $20 we spent on it. Darn it!!! Such a good idea at the time...
